Brett founded High Velocity Accounting in 2013 after seeing how many HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical contractors were running six- and seven-figure operations on a shoebox of receipts and a bookkeeper who was two months behind. He built the firm specifically around the trades, betting that a CPA who actually understood job costing, technician pay structures, and seasonal cash swings would be more useful to a contractor than a generalist accountant.

Today Brett works directly with owners who are pushing toward $5M and beyond in annual sales, helping them get real-time visibility into which jobs, crews, and service lines are actually profitable. That usually means untangling QuickBooks Online from ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro so the numbers coming out of the field match the numbers going into the financials.
